CONFIRMATIONS

Confirmations express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. If you were baptised in a different deonomination, you may be received into the Episcopal Church. If you have already been confirmed you can also choose to reaffirm your faith in the same way. Typically, a class regarding the confirmation takes place before doing so. Classes are offered approximately two months before the actual confirmation. Adults baptized with the laying on of hands by a bishop are considered to be confirmed.

Confirmations are celebrated during bishop's visitations, often on feast Sundays. It's a joyous occasion and we invite family members and friends to join. If you are interested in being confirmed or received, please contact us.
