HEALING

Deeply embedded within Christianity is the theology that God heals us by His grace and through His mercy. From the very beginnings of the Church, anointing with holy oil and prayers for healing were offered by the Elders of the parish to those who were sick in body, mind, or spirit. At St. John's, like many other churches, continues that ancient rite through the ministry of our priests and deacons.

On most Sundays, during the Sung Mass, this Sacrament of Healing is offered to all who may wish to receive it. During Holy Communion, one of the members of the Clergy will be available in the Chapel to welcome anyone who desires anointing and prayers for healing.
